It was not just a call while driving, surfing the Internet while driving also seems to be commonplace done.

A recent survey stated that one in five car users surf the Internet while driving. The survey, conducted 912 drivers were conducted in November and found 19 percent of them claim to use their phones to access the Internet while driving a car.

In the same survey, 74 percent of respondents said that they make or receive calls while driving and 35 percent claimed to send or receive text.

Remarkably, respondents claimed that most of them are aged 30s. The survey found most drivers were using their phones to surf the internet while stopped at traffic lights or when stucked in traffic.

There are only 30 U.S. states that prohibit Internet surfing while driving for all drivers, with eight of them prohibit novice drivers only.

In 2009, 5474 people were killed and 448,000 injured in accidents caused by distracted drivers. As many as 18 percent of deaths due to the transfer because the phone, and the age group under-20 is the most heavily involved.
